Beyond repair?

First of all, wow! Where has summer months absent? How can it maybe be September already???

This is only going to be a limited blog site, but I just preferred to share a minimal mend job that I have been functioning on these days. The customer initially despatched me an electronic mail a number of weeks back, as she’d been informed by a large road jeweller that her sentimental gold dress ring, wasn’t equipped to be resized. Que that tiny evil bit in my brain that just wishes to prove them incorrect and present that it IS doable, and voila! Just one resized garnet and pearl costume ring. Certainly, it IS a delicate ring, so she’s not heading to be equipped to don it each individual day, but at minimum it now CAN be worn, instead than currently being destined to sit in a box endlessly!

Adding the new gold

Introducing the new gold

Prepared to put on!

Of course, you can see the join if you search closely, but in some cases it’s not all about completely hiding the new component. This ring was about preservation and earning it wearable again.

Polished and ready for many more years!

A “very” very careful polish so as not to problems people delicate pearls, or to take away to considerably of the character. In my view, it’s appropriate for an antique to appear as these kinds of!
