Patrick Simondac a.k.a. Patrick Starrr has many strings to his bow. He’s known as a celebrity makeup artist and has built up a successful career that’s seen him work with Hollywood’s leading ladies, from Jessica Alba and Katy Perry to Paris Hilton, and Tyra Banks to name a few.
As his brand has grown, so has his digital following, and as of 2020, Patrick’s total social media following exceeded a whopping 12 million and continues to rise.
With this digital know-how and a whole host of celebrity contacts, it was only natural then that he’d start up his own podcast, and cue Say Yas to the Guest (brought to you by Dear Media), that provides happy, hopeful, and inspiring content.
Back to business, and Patrick shares his signature neutral smokey eye look with this handy step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Use a small amount of Fenty Beauty True Matte Pro Filter Mattifying Primer to hydrate the skin and smooth out pores and texture.
Step 2: With the Benefit Cosmetics Precisely My Brow Pencil in 4, define the brow starting with the front using short strokes moving towards the tail.
Step 3: Taking the Benefit Cosmetics Boiing Cakeless Concealer in No. 5 and a flat dense brush, define the bottom of the eyebrow to create a sharp brow look and bring it down the lid to double as a primer.
Step 4: Dip into the ONE/SIZE Visionary Palette with a fluffy blending brush into the shade Soft Serve and place and blend into the crease, using the same brush then dip into the shade Brownie to further define the crease.
Step 5: Using a ONE/SIZE Eye Popper in the shade “Everything and More” cut the crease for a shimmery lid, then topping it off with P House Eye Popper for an even brighter lid.
Step 6: Taking a ONE/SIZE Point Made 24 Hour Eyeliner Pencil in Busty Brown and a flat defining brush, place the eye liner on the lash line and then blend out with the defining brush for a smokey liner, and then add more drama to the waterline by filling it in with Bodacious Black Point Made 24 Hour Eyeliner Pencil.
Step 7: For a more defined lash line, use the ONE/SIZE Point Made Liquid Liner Pen and further define with a winged out liner.
Step 8: Bring all the drama to the eyes with ONE/SIZE Full On Faux Lashes in the style “I’ve Arrived”.
Step 9: Using a beauty blender, push Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation in “450 Sue N” into the skin to further erase pores and texture.
Step 10: Taking the Benefit Cosmetics Boiing Cakeless Concealer in no. 5, place a decent amount in all the high points of the face and blend out with a beauty blender.
Step 11: Now, the most important step is baking! Take the ONE/SIZE Ultimate Setting Puff and ONE/SIZE Ultimate Setting Powder in Translucent and bake the entire face, making sure to carefully set the under eyes.
Step 12: After your powder has baked, use your Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Airbrush Powder in the shade 2 and dust away the remaining translucent powder.
Step 13: Now to bring that shape back into face with contouring, we use the Milani Matte Bronzer to carve out the cheekbones, chin, forehead and nose.
Step 14: After contouring we will start a new nude everyday lip, we’ll start with the Dragun Beauty “2.0 cc” lip liner and slightly over draw the top lip to give a fuller effect, then after filling the lips in with Truffle Matte Liquid Lipstick by Dose of Colors.
Step 15: To bring back more color to the face, we will use a big fluffy blush brush and the Lunar Beauty Moon Prism Blush Palette mixing together the colors Spacey, Twilight, and Stargaze and apply that mixture to the cheeks.
Step 16: To top everything off we will take Cookie Highlighter by Benefit Cosmetics and our pinky finger and make an exclamation mark on our nose to snatch it even more.
Step 17: As our final step we will lock in all of that makeup and bring the skin-like effect back to our canvas with the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray and spraying that all over.
