See the catwalk at Fashion Week San Diego‘s annual Spring Showcase, featuring 10 emerging designers from San Diego and beyond, at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Hotel Republic.
Styles at the showcase range from ready-to-wear to sustainable to couture.
This year’s featured designers include locals Elegantique, Jumpball Apparel, Needles and Spines and Odd Bird Designs along with Bliss and Bles, Dorotheaa, MOTIV, Sierra Mitchell, Territa Torres and Nina Cicolo, from Brazil.
Gwen Bates, director of Fashion Week San Diego, said her team “is thrilled” to return to live shows in downtown San Diego.
“The in-person aspect of the Spring Showcase allows our community members and fashion lovers to fully experience the raw talent of these exceptional designers,” Bates said.
Billy the Kid will perform at the showcase, while Jodi Kodesh, an Emmy Award-winning meteorologist, and Jonathan Harris, a longtime broadcast commentator and columnist, will host.
Local Fashion Week organizers have provided a platform for 14 years to offer exposure to up-and-coming designers, brands and models. Fall Fashion Week events are set to begin Oct. 8.
