The I Heart Revolution Radiance Powder is part of the I Heart Revolution Heartbreakers collection. I really enjoyed the Heartbreakers Matte Blushers, and the Heartbreakers Highlighter from the Heartbreakers collection, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Heartbreakers Concealer. I decided to give the coconut-scented loose setting powder a try, as I liked the rest of the collection.
I Heart Revolution Radiance Powder
“We never do anything ordinary here at I Heart Revolution. The I Heart Revolution Heartbreakers Radiance Loose Powder is a loose translucent powder with radiant finish that gives skin a silky smooth and radiant glow, whilst setting your face in place. Of course, it wouldn’t be I Heart with a super sweet twist, so this product has been infused with a coconut scent.“
The I Heart Revolution Radiance Powder is £6, and contains 12g of product within a large, clear plastic jar, with a sifter and a bright pink lid. The jar is kinda huge, and as shown above, it looks like you’re only getting a tiny amount of product as the jar is so large.
Why on earth did Revolution use such a massive jar for the amount of product you’re getting, as it almost looks as if you’ve been shortchanged, and you’re missing a lot of product. When in fact, that is 12g of powder, but the jar would probably hold 60-70g of product. It’s so strange, and it’s not something we’ve seen from the brand before.
The I Heart Revolution Heartbreakers Radiance Powder is a white, very finely milled loose setting powder. When you first tip the loose powder out of the sifter, the powder particles look sparkly, and as if it’s a loose highlighter. However, once it’s blended into the skin, it doesn’t look at all sparkly – thankfully.
The above photo does a great job at showing you what the powder looks like on the skin. There’s no glitter or sparkle. It’s just a radiant glow, and it looks so beautiful on the skin. My skin is super dry, so many loose powders can leave my skin looking drier or cakey, but the I Heart Revolution Heartbreakers Radiance Powder does a great job at setting your makeup, whilst disguising any dryness left by foundation/concealer.
It works particularly well for setting concealer under the eyes. Whilst mattifying any unwanted shine, and replacing it with a flattering, veil of radiance, which remarkably reminds me of the Hourglass Veil Loose Powder. I wouldn’t even be surprised if that product was the ‘inspiration’ behind this one, as the finished result is extremely similar, except this powder is £6, and the Hourglass version is £41 – so it’s a pretty amazing dupe!
