For the 20th year of Bead Fest, we’re moving to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to a gorgeous new facility with beautiful surroundings. Jewelry artists of all skill levels can indulge in their creative passions with over 100 workshops and a Marketplace that’s perfect for discovering bead and jewelry making inspiration.
Make plans to learn and shop with your favorite instructors, artisans, and vendors during this unique experience in the heart of Amish Country.
Learn and Be Inspired
Choose from 100+ workshops with your favorite instructors and techniques. Beading and metalsmithing classes will be presented over four days and all registered students will receive a Bead Fest Tote Bag with goodies from participating sponsors. Treat yourself to a workshop where you can learn a new skill or expand on one of your favorite techniques. Special Master Classes with Julie Sanford and Edgar Lopez include dinner with your instructor along with other perks.
Shop the Marketplace
The Marketplace is open August 18-20th. Here you’ll find all the beads, tools, and supplies you need for your next project, all from your preferred artisans and bead and jewelry supply vendors. There is an admission price for the marketplace—plan ahead and take advantage of Early Bird pricing or sign up for a workshop that is 3+ hours long to receive free admission to the Marketplace. Special technique demonstrations and events will also take place in the Marketplace. Come prepared to absorb it all!
Learn. Shop. Stay!
Make the most of your Bead Fest Experience and stay at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square. The hotel is connected to the convention center and features historic structures within and around its own new architecture. If you’re staying for evening events at Bead Fest or taking an evening class, it’s just a few steps to your room. Or, gather your friends for after-hours beading sessions in the spacious lobby. You can also soak up panoramic views of downtown from the beautiful rooftop bar.
While You’re in Lancaster
This is Pennsylvania Dutch Country, which is about an hour and thirty minutes if you’re driving from Philadelphia, and less by train. Downtown Lancaster offers plenty of opportunities for shopping and dining, or you can tour the nearby countryside. For farm fresh flavor, Lancaster Central Market is open Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The market offers everything from artisan bread, coffee, and tea to farm produce and flowers. There are also numerous shops, cafés, galleries, and more to enjoy while you’re in town.
Join us for all this and so much more fun at Bead Fest 2022!
