Three Things You Can Do This Small Business Saturday

Three things you need to know about us:

  1. We were founded in 1999 by Rosie Wolfenden MBE and Harriet Vine MBE. ⭐

  2. Creative Director Harriet designs all Tatty Devine jewellery in our sunny East London studio, which is then handmade by our expert team in Kent. ⭐

  3. We’re proud to be a small female-led independent business with BIG plans! ⭐

Forget Black Friday and the big boys’ BOGOFs, here are three things you can do this Small Business Saturday to spread joy and support the indies in your area and beyond!

Shop Small 🌈

There’s never been a better time to shop with independent businesses. We’re pledging to support Holly & Co’s Colour Friday campaign to turn our backs on Black Friday and say ‘yes!’ to the colour and creativity that we and fellow small businesses bring. Since 1999, we’ve adhered to the ethos of creating original art jewellery, handmade in Britain and wouldn’t have it any other way.

From our rainbow-packed design studio in East London to our thriving production studio in Kent, we’re proud to make dreams come true with our small, female-led team. Our fabulous community of art jewellery lovers across the world is with us every step of the way and we wouldn’t be where we are today without our incredible hand-curated stockists, too. This Colour Friday, discover some of our current Tatty Devine UK stockists, from independent boutiques like Brighton’s very own Pussy to cultural spaces including Compton Verney.

Support Local Businesses this Small Business Saturday

Community is at the heart of what we do and so we jumped at the chance to be founding members of the East End Trades Guild.”

Join us as we celebrate 10 years of the EETG. That’s a decade of over 300 small businesses in the local area from papercut hero Rob Ryan to our favourite cafe, E. Pellici, and Gardners, to champion the importance of unity and challenge shocking business rates. Enjoy a very special throwback interview for the East End Trades Guild blog, complete with vintage snaps, MBEs and a hint of what we’re working on right now!

Say it with us, ‘together we are stronger’.

Fancy a peek at over twenty-three years of original art design? Plan your trip to our Covent Garden, London store, now celebrating 13 years since we first opened its doors, (and don’t forget to wish us a happy birthday!), and be sure to pop into our favourite local businesses, too:

  • Put pen to paper and head to Choosing Keeping for the most stunning stationery, gift wrap and trinkets you ever did see. Oh, and there’s candles shaped like wheels of cheese!

  • Are you an art lover? Pop next door to Adorn The Common to treat someone special to their fabulous curation of coffee table books and unmissable queer art.

  • Christmas shopping sorted? How about moseying on down to Seven Dials Market for an Instagram-famous creme brulee crepe, created by Sammie and the dessert artists formerly known as Yolkin.
