We all know that our skin’s condition largely depends on ‘invisible’ factors, such as nutrition, stress levels, hormones. Everything is connected and equally important to maintain in good balance. However, I believe that the right skincare is beneficial to that balance. As far as I can remember, I was never as fascinated with makeup as I was with skincare. Maybe because my skin was dry and needy, I don’t know. It wasn’t always that I had access to good quality skincare, especially in my early twenties. Organic beauty wasn’t really a thing back then. But even before I started getting into it (wayyy before it became trendy), I always felt like my skin deserved more attention, more care, and more love than just slapping some concealer on to make it presentable. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy using makeup, but not as much as skincare.
So, after pouring my heart out in this sloppy intro, let’s get into the review of the amazing Trilogy Skincare, which is a definition of quality skincare. There are a few products that I’ve compiled for you to get to know, but one of them, in particular, is my all-time favorite. I repurchased it so many times I can’t count, and I will do the same in the foreseeable future. Can you guess which one I’m talking about? OK, I’ll give you a hint – the boldest bottle of them all. But read further…
Oh how I love me some moisturizer with SPF! If you’re familiar with my blog, you probably know by now that I use SPF daily. I have a few, including REN and Coola, and rotate them depending on my needs. But I’m not perfect, and sometimes I forget, that’s why I like my other products (moisturizer, bb cream) also contain SPF, even if a little. Age-Proof Multi-Defence Moisturizer SPF15 (50ml) is a lovely skin-softening day cream, with collagen-boosting and fine line smoothing abilities. Trilogy also uses collagen-promoting Glycablend and algae-derived PEPHA®-AGE, scientifically proven protectants from UVA, UVB, and blue light. It has a nice texture; however, it might take some gentle rubbing for the cream to sink in completely when the skin is damp.
Bakuchiol+ Booster Treatment (12.5ml) is a concentrated 2-week treatment for those who want to boost skin’s elastin and collagen production. Bakuchiol is a retinol alternative but less irritating to the skin. I like using retinol serums, so I know that you must start introducing them slowly to your skincare routine. But with bakuchiol treatment, you don’t have to worry about irritation. The treatment feels moisturizing and gentle on the skin.
Star ingredients in detail:
– Bakuchiol: derived mainly from the seeds of the Indian plant Psoralea corylifolia (Babchi), has been shown to have Vitamin A-like effects in vitro. It has natural antioxidant, skin conditioning, and emollient properties, which mean it can improve the appearance of signs of skin aging
– Squalene: a molecule that is found naturally in the skin as well as in plants, which provides hydration and suppleness
– Hemp: skin conditioning oil, expressed from the seeds of Cannabis Sativa, and has high levels of essential fatty acids and antioxidants
– Meadowfoam Seed Oil: leaves the skin feeling nourished and conditioned.
It’s been 6 years since I posted this review here about Trilogy’s Certified Organic Rosehip Oil (45ml). Little did I know back then that I’d still be going to repurchase and use this oil all these years later. Now, in the biggest containers possible. 45ml? Pfff, give me the 100ml, I’ll still be the first in line after using my old bottle up. On Trilogy’s website, there’s a message that this Rosehip Oil is sold every 20 seconds. Good for those people discovering what high-quality, effective skincare truly is! You want to invest in just one good-quality skincare oil and don’t know which one to choose from the sea of other natural oils? Rosehip oil is always the best bet. It’s highly nourishing, rejuvenating, and transforms your skin like no other oil by giving it glow and smoothness.
In all honesty, I did not expect to like this Eye Contour Cream (20ml) so much! Despite having light texture, you can instantly feel this cream is extremely hydrating and smoothing. Shame on me for not daily using eye creams, but with this one – I try my best.
Star ingredients:
– Rosapene: nourishes the gentle under eye area, reduces fine lines and the first signs of aging
– Aloe vera: cooling and brightening; instantly soothes and refreshes tired eyes
– Carrot Oil: repairs the skin
– Acai: rejuvenates and increases collagen production.
